Gorgeous and very rare antique grand! From a small American maker in business only from 1870-1877 in Louisville, KY. The rosewood case is in beautiful condition, owned by one family since it was made, and well maintained. Original keys. Original inner workings. Everything is original. Most of the keys still play, but will need cleaned and restored in terms of strings and hammers if you wish to have a playable piano. The carved rosewood case is so beautiful that the piano could also be repurposed as a desk. When the case is closed up (see picture), you could also use this as a unique kitchen island, or a sideboard in a dining room. I just like to look at it because of its beauty. I hate to sell this, but I am moving and don't have room for this beauty in my new house!!

6'x3'x3'; 7 octaves.

Velvet covered Victorian swivel stool is included.

Sold AS IS. This is an antique in need of restoration or repurposing. It is very heavy. I will not ship this or pay for movers. Local pick up only, so if you order out of area, I would recommend hiring a moving company. I can make recommendations of appropriate companies who deal in pianos to whoever buys this.

Description of the company from the Antique Piano Shop: "Peters, Webb & Company was a large publishing house in Louisville, Kentucky from about 1870-1877. Along with publishing, the firm also sold musical instruments, including a line of square grand and upright pianos under the Peters, Webb & Company name. These pianos, however, were actually built by Peters, Cragg & Company, a partnering firm. The firm built pianos on a relatively small scale for just a few years, and they are exceedingly rare today. The few extant instruments we have seen come through our shop by the firm have been of superior quality, and deserve the finest restoration available today."
