A. Raynaud & Co., Limoges
"L'Allee Du Roy" Rim Soup or Individual Pasta Bowl
Up for auction is a Rim Soup Dish in the exquisite "L'Allée Du Roy" pattern by A. Raynaud & Co., Limoges, France.
It measures 8-7/8" across by 1-1/2" deep.
The bright white porcelain is decorated with a pattern that is a revival of a classic 18th-Century design. (Raynaud & Co. of Limoges was founded in 1849.)
It features a delicate latticed band of green leafy stems anchored by bright blue cornflowers.
These are framed on either side by narrow vines of laurel leaves and separated by hand-painted fillets of 24K gold.
The rim edge is trimmed with a hand-scalloped gold border.
The back is stamped in blue as shown.
Made of high-fired Limoges porcelain.
Dishwasher safe.
This plate is in like-new condition with a high gloss and no chips, cracks or scratches.
NOTE: Williams Sonoma, Bloomingdales, Artedona and other quality merchants carry this beautiful Raynaud Limoges pattern.
The Rim Soup retails for $138.00.
