2018-P $1 Australia Year of the Dog Opal Series 1oz Proof Coin

An exceptional celebration of the Year of the Dog, this unique release features the shape of a dog etched in authentic Australian opal, which makes a wonderful gift for those born in the Year of the Dog. 

The gemstone feature is embedded within a silver coin depicting stylized leaves and flowers. Included in the design is the inscription YEAR OF THE DOG, the 2018 year-date, and The Perth Mint’s traditional “P" mintmark.

The coin is struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality.

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin’s obverse portrays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination. 

This coin comes with the original box and numbered certificate of authenticity.
