This listing is for an old apron.

It measures about 21" by 17" widest points.

No maker's tag or date.

There are ties at the waist but not at the top as shown.

Kindly view photos as you will receive the item shown. Material feels like a canvas. It is goldish color with green lettering. Has age and use, rub and scuff, stain marks and soiling. It was really used. Please be sure you are ok with all before buying.

It is original from Doylestown, PA for anyone who collects local items.

I found info online that says the site where the NYCE Planing Mill Company was located is now the Enclave at Nyce's Mill. Here is info from their website:

  • Nyce’s Planing Mill and Concrete Supply was built on the corner of Clinton and Union Streets, and operated for years until it was eventually shuttered. The mill employed many of the townspeople, and was a vital source of building supplies for the area.  In fact, many existing Doylestown homes were built with materials provided by Nyce’s. The site of The Enclave at Nyce’s Mill sits on the exact site of the once notable Nyce’s Planing Mill and Concrete Supply.
  • Joseph D. Nyce (1883-1959) - Nyce, Joseph D., son of Mr. and Mrs. David Nyce; born Oct. 28, 1883, near Mainland, Pa.; died of cancer March 21, 1959, at Doylestown, Pa.; aged 75 y. 4 m. 21 d. He was married to Dora Funk, who died in 1927. On March 4, 1928, at Souderton, Pa., he was married to Katie Nice, who survives. Occupation: former president of Nyce Planing Mill Co. Surviving are 2 children (Lawrence F. and David D.), one sister (Mrs. Arthur Leatherman), 2 brothers (Oliver and Wynne), and 10 grandchildren. He was a member of the Doylestown, Church, where funeral services were conducted March 26 by Joseph Gross and Silas Graybill.; interment in church cemetery.
