RCA Advertising Logo Patch

RCA Corporation, founded as the Radio Corporation of America, was an American electronics company in existence from 1919 to 1986.  Founded in 1919 as a subsidiary of  General Electric, RCA was responsible for many key innovations in radio technology.

The distinctive RCA trademark, the lightning bolt 'meatball' logo debuted in 1922; the lightning bolt device emanating from the letter 'A' is a strong visual metaphor for 'communication' and underscores the remaining 'RC' letters. (During the early 20th Century, a number of companies involved in the emerging communication/broadcasting industries used lightning bolts to promote the idea of 'communication').  A later variation of this logo was revived by BMG after it bought RCA Records from GE, and is still used by Sony Music today.

The RCA patch is based on the original design from the 1930's and has never been used.  It is brand new and reflects a nice piece of early Radio Communication/Broadcasting history.  Please e-mail me with any inquires you may have.  Payment accepted via PayPal Only.  A fine addition to your Golden Age of Radio Memorabilia Collection!

S&H within the US is $1.00 for the first patch and $0.50 for each additional patch.
