Vtg. Rare Cartoon Satire 1963 Space Age Calendar William Bill Eddy Humor Cartoonist. Other than the occasional book Back to the drawing board again  Bill Eddy items are scarce.  I believe he was best known for his "Fox hole" humor: William Crawford (“Bill”) Eddy (1902 –1989) was a naval officer, submariner, engineer, television producer, educator, cartoonist, artist, inventor, entrepreneur, explorer, and writer. And, he was successful in all of them. In 1938, J.F. Sullivan, a Honeywell, Inc., executive, happened to notice a cartoon Capt. W.C. Eddy was drawing as they rode together on the same train. It was "cartoon love" at first sight and Eddy was signed to a lifetime contract to draw cartoons to appear in Honeywell's Brown Instruments division calendar. The cartoons basically reflected man's inability to cope with the machines he builds. I found several at a recent estate sale. Some discoloration in the cover. General in good condition. Includes technical and photo information regarding Honeywell. We do combine shipping or pick up at an open shop in Alliance Oh 44601 - 44319
