    Shipping

    Most orders usually ship within 1 to 3 business days after payment and address verification are received; but, some products (like shower doors) have longer lead times of 2-4 weeks. In rare instances, there may be an extenuating or unforeseen circumstance that leads to a fulfillment delay. In such instances, our customer service department will keep you updated on the order status.

    The vast majority of our products include FREE-SHIPPING to the continental United States, with all shipments being curbside delivery; a few exceptions include (but are not limited to):

    • Select Toto, Fleurco and Danze brand products
    • Interior doors

    Customers shipping to Hawaii or Alaska should contact us via eBay for a shipping quote.

    Canadian Customers should contact us via eBay to receive a shipping and handling quote. BE ADVISED, any potential duty, tariff, customs or customs brokerage fees are the responsibility of the customer, and may be in addition to the shipping charges.

    Free-shipping does not include any additional charges resulting from customer special requests such as: inside delivery, re-delivery after a missed appointment, reconsignment fees to send to an alternate address other than what was listed at the time of shipment, or storage for delivery delays. Any additional charges billed by the shipping company for accessorial charges not specifically requested by DecorPlanet will be assessed to the customer. In the event that a shipment is returned to DecorPlanet due to a customer's neglect of receiving the shipment timely, all related shipping charges will be assessed to the customer (including the original outbound shipping charge). The sum of said shipping charges will be deducted from any refund due to the customer for returned merchandise.

    DEPOSITS
    DecorPlanet requires a 50% deposit on all merchandise. Floor Samples, Discontinued, Final sale or Clearance items, Merchandise that is marked as non- returnable and/or non-cancelable, Custom/Special Order Merchandise or Merchandise made to order or Fabrication, must be paid in full at time of purchase. No merchandise will be shipped or delivered unless paid in full.

    For in-store and telephone purchases, your sales representative will debit your credit card for appropriate deposit amount at the time of the order; then, they will place an authorization on your card for the remainder of the balance.

    For Internet orders, your credit card will be authorized for the total invoice amount at the time the order is placed. Our billing department will review the order within 1 business day to capture the appropriate deposit; then an authorization will be taken for the remaining balance. When orders ship from our warehouse, or our supplier's warehouses, the remaining balance is captured on your credit card and the sale is completed.

    Completed sales may not be canceled, and are subject to the DecorPlanet return policy.

    • Inspecting and receiving your Merchandise
      Please inspect your package carefully when it arrives and note the condition of the box.     • Signing for your Merchandise
      You must notate damage/damages/missing items on the delivery receipt, in order to receive replacement merchandise at no cost. If you see damage to the box or missing boxes, accept the shipment and write on the shipping courier's forwarding receipt form: "Damaged or Missing Boxes". When you bring the shipment into your home, carefully inspect each and every item for damages/shortages.
    • Notifying Customer Service of damage/shortage
      Please contact us via eBay.
    • Replacements due to damages/shortages must be requested within 48 hours of your delivery. Unfortunately, after 48 hours we will not be able to file a claim due to the carrier's claim restrictions. If you or your representative signs for the delivery without indicating damaged or missing items, but later the merchandise is found to be missing or damaged during shipping, our Customer Service department must be notified within 48 hours. After 48 hours, it is assumed that all merchandise was received in good condition and you will be responsible for the cost of the replacement item/items. If you or your representative signs for the item indicating damage/missing items, our Customer Service department must be notified within 10 business days of your delivery to receive your replacement item/items at no charge. After 10 days, you will be responsible for the cost of replacement. If the merchandise has been installed, we will not be able to file a claim or provide a replacement.

    Shipping and Delivery

    Where is my shipment? / How can I track my order?
    The 'My Account' customer portal provides a wide-range of useful information and resources. Use the portal to details like: Order Status, Shipping/Tracking Information, or to obtain a copy of your Invoice. Click Account Login link in the upper right-hand corner. After you provide your email address and password (set at the time of purchase), you will be able to view all this information.

    I have received an email that my order has been shipped but I cannot track it. What should I do?
    In some instances, you may receive a shipment confirmation without tracking details. This is generally the result of a carrier experiencing a delay in the automated posting of tracking details to our system, or it could be the result of a shipment coming to you directly from our distributor. Please check the 'My Account' customer portal (see Answer #1) for updates. If no update is available, please contact our customer service department via eBay.

    What if I didn't receive my order/shipment confirmation email?
    All communications from DecorPlanet are sent to the email address on file. If you still cannot locate a message or you do not know which email address you registered with us, please contact our customer service department via eBay.

    Receiving and Inspecting

    I received a call from 'Shipping Carrier' to schedule delivery of my order, but I thought DecorPlanet would be delivering my order. What else should I look out for?
    *DecorPlanet has an internal delivery department and a fleet of courteous and professional delivery vehicles (the drivers aren't bad either...) serving the NY-NJ-CT-PA metropolitan area. But, for shipments outside of the local delivery area, we leverage a vast network of parcel and common carrier shipping carriers to deliver your order.

    *It is imperative that you are prepared to receive your shipment at the scheduled time. Remember, deliveries are curbside only, so recruit your contractor or friends to help you bring the goods inside the home.

    *Inspect all shipments upon arrival for damage before signing the delivery receipt. Please refer to the "Guidelines for Inspection" provided in your shipment confirmation email. Proper inspection is a critical component to DecorPlanet being able to provide you with a no-cost replacement of goods damaged in transit.

    What should I do if the driver will not allow me to inspect merchandise?
    If a non-DecorPlanet truck driver is not giving you the time to inspect the shipment, make a note on the Bill of Lading: 'driver did not allow for inspection' Or, alternatively, 'Subject to Inspection'

    Someone other than myself will be receiving the delivery (my contractor).
    Please send an email to our customer service department with the name, phone number and your permission for the alternate person to inspect and receive the merchandise on your behalf.

    Which shipping carrier is going to deliver my order?
    Carrier information is provided in the shipment confirmation email or posted to the 'My Account' customer portal. You may also contact customer service.

    Merchandise was just left at my door. What do I do?
    This is never done at the request of DecorPlanet. In the event this is your experience, please inspect the merchandise immediately and take photos of any damage. In any case, please inform our customer service department via eBay.

    The tracking information says that my shipment was received, but I didn't receive it?
    Please contact our Customer Service department via eBay and report this error.

    Is there a way to expedite my order?
    Most orders usually ship within 1 to 3 business days after payment and address verification are received, and then transit times vary between 2-7 days. To determine if your shipment is eligible for expedited service, please contact our customer service department via eBay.

    I want the items to be brought inside my home, do you offer white glove service?
    Depending on your delivery area and the carrier's capabilities, 'white glove' service may be available at an additional charge. Please contact our customer service department for availability and a quote.

    I am not within the continental US, how can I obtain a shipping quote for Canada/Hawaii/Alaska/Puerto Rico? (What information do I need to submit?)

    Damaged and Defective Goods

    What should I do if my shipment arrives damaged?

    If my shipment arrives damaged and I report it upon delivery, how soon will I receive a replacement?
    Replacement orders are typically sent out within 24 hours of confirmation of noted damage on the Bill of Lading.

    All Fresca products, our premier brand, come with a 3 year warranty against defects. For specific warranty information on other products, please contact our Customer Service department.

    Does the warranty on your products cover installation expenses?
    Common to the industry, product warranties are not inclusive of either original or replacement installation fees.

    Returns

    Requests for a return or exchange can be made within 30 days of delivery. Please contact us via eBay to request an RMA # (Return Merchandise Authorization) and ship back the item within 30 days of the original delivery. Merchandise returned must be in its original condition and original packaging to receive credit. Tile returns must be in original FULL boxes. Credit is subject to inspection of the merchandise being returned. Once the merchandise is received and inspected, the credit will be issued within 5 business days.

    Customer Responsibilities (Shipping charges and restocking fees)
    In the unlikely event that you received the wrong merchandise or your merchandise arrived damaged, there will be no charge to you and a replacement will be sent out. Damages must be noted on the bill of lading (shipping courier's forwarding receipt form) and reported to Customer Support within 48 hours of receipt of your merchandise. After 48 hours, it is assumed that your order arrived in perfect condition and that all of the correct items were received. If you are planning to install or use the merchandise at a later time, please inspect the item/s within 48 hours and store it safely away. If someone else signs for your order when delivered, it is as if you received the delivery personally and you assume the responsibility. If you decide that you don't want the merchandise ordered, or you are returning the merchandise due to buyer's remorse, you will be charged for the return shipping to the manufacturer's/distributor's warehouse and a 15% restocking fee will be applied. A shipping quote and return label can be provided to you upon request. DecorPlanet does not charge our customers for outbound Shipping and Handling and absorbs this cost. However, if you refuse delivery of an undamaged product, you will be responsible for the original and return shipping charges. If your order was delivered by DecorPlanet's delivery fleet, you are responsible to bring or ship the returned merchandise back to our warehouse for inspection. Our drivers are unable to pick up returned merchandise from our customers because they are not qualified to perform inspections of the merchandise being returned.

    If you receive a damaged item, DecorPlanet will replace the item at no charge, or you may elect to have a store credit. Please follow instructions below:

DecorPlanet will exchange the defective merchandise or a defective part at no charge. Merchandise returned as defective, which is found not to be defective, will be subject to a 15% restocking charge, along with the original and return shipping and handling charges. If a defect occurs after 30 days of delivery, you must contact the manufacturer directly for warranty information. DecorPlanet will not cover any labor or other costs of removal or installation, nor shall DecorPlanet be responsible for any other incidental or consequential damages attributable to a product defect or to the repair or exchange of a defective product or part.

    ORDER CANCELATIONS
    Your order can be cancelled for any reason and a full refund will be provided, if the merchandise has not been scheduled to ship from our own or our supplier's warehouse. Please note that we strive to ship out your order ASAP for your convenience. Our Customer Service representatives can inform you of the status of your order and advise you whether or not the order can be cancelled for a full refund. In the event that your order has been shipped/scheduled for delivery our return policy will apply. After the cancellation of your order, we will either credit your purchase amount back to your credit card or issue a check to your address. It usually takes 2-5 business days for the credit to be issued.
