In The Indian Detour Country Copyright 1930 W. J. Black
Country/Region of Manufacture United States
Year 1930
nice vintage wood framed set of 3 Santa Fe calendar heavy cardboard lithographs. All three prints are lithographs printed by American Lithographic Company of New York based on original paintings by E. Irving Couse N A. The lithographs are copyrighted by W. J. Black.
Each piece is trimmed for framing to the critical art  image border size of 10" x 12" which includes the Santa Fe logo imprint and the artists name. NOTE: The War Bonnet Maker is actually 10" x 13" and I presume the 1934 calendar was a bit different because it includes the printed Santa Fe Route map and additional artist information on the back of the print. A separate cut slip with the calendar painting title and "Indian Detour Country" classification is included with each lithograph from the lower portion of the calendar. These were very well made lithographs and today the colors are still very vibrant and artistic details fine. The 3 pieces in the listing are as follows:
The War Bonnet Maker from the 1931 Calendar, The Flute Player from the 1933 Calendar, and The Smoke Ceremony from the 1934 Calendar. I do not see these very readily available so I am unsure of appropriate listing price. I will put it out there and include free shipping as well as utilize the "Best Offer" format to give fair consideration to all buyer offers. I trust my impeccable feedback to stand for my long history of fair deals and buyer satisfaction. Arthur
