During the French & Indian War, numerous American (British) provincial units wore uniforms of blue with red lapels, cuffs, and turn-backs. Included in this number were soldier's of the Virginia Regiment beginning in 1755 (after phasing out their earlier red uniforms), as well as members of the New Jersey Regiment, NC Provincials, SC Provincials, Charleston Artillery, and others.
Our Blue & Red Regimental Coat is perfect for reenactment, living history, and display use. It is made of proper construction with raw edges just like the originals. It can be paired with breeches, waistcoat, and gaiters from Veteran Arms to complete the ensemble. It can also easily be modified to create any number of similar uniforms from the same period.
