Tailored by Brooks Brothers in the USA under the exclusive Makers BrooksWeave label, this vintage 50s solid yellow six button oxford cloth sanforized cotton and polyester blend dress shirt is one which you will receive many complements on. I have been told that Brooks started this label in the 50s, but cannot pinpoint the date any better than that. The stamp on the inside of the shirt (pictured) is a feature from the 50s as well. The shirt is absolutely in remarkable condition; which makes it exceptionally rare. You simply cannot get more traditional prep than a solid color ocbd... it checks all the boxes. This one features the very rare six button front; prized by purists for the way the buttons line up with the belt line. The Original Polo Shirt is the item that put Brooks Brothers on the map; it is a timeless style. But the Makers label OCBD (oxford cloth button down) that was tailored in the USA is the top of the food chain; it is traditional prep at its finest. The vast majority of our listings are buy it now, with immediate payment required. In the event that we do a listing as an auction, we require payment within five days of the auction end. If we accept a best offer on an item, we require payment on that item the same day. This same policy applies if you submit and offer, and we accept it by sending you an offer through the eBay system. If you are going to be out of town, and would like us to hold your item, please attach a note to your payment, and we will contact you.

We generally offer two forms of shipping, when available; either USPS first class shipping (standard shipping) or USPS priority mail. USPS first class shipping is only available on items which weight less than one pound, including the packaging. First class shipping will always be in a bag. If you prefer your item be shipped in a box, do not select first class shipping at check out. When an item is over one pound, but will still fit in a flat rate envelope, we offer this form of shipping, in addition to the regular USPS priority mail. These will both be spelled out for you at check out, by clicking on shipping options. If you prefer your item be shipped in a box, please select the more expensive version of priority mail.
It is also worth noting that, the price we pay to the USPS is not the actual cost of shipping. Ebay charges us a 10% final value fee on our shipping cost, and PayPal charges 3%. When we ship first class mail, the item is double bagged; priority is a bag inside of the packaging provided by the USPS; at ten cents a bag, it adds up quick. That does not account for the shipping labels, ink, or the person who packages your item for shipped, and processes it. In short, our shipping fees are not only competitive, but they rarely, if ever, cover the actual shipping costs. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your item, please feel free to contact me. We are one of the few eBay vendors that will accept returns for items that do not fit; but the policy must be followed for all returns. We offer a 14 day no questions asked return policy, with the buyer being responsible for all of the shipping. Refunds will only be for the item value only. Please ship items USPS priority mail, so that we can get the item re-listed quickly. Please ship your item with tracking. This will allow you to know where your item is, and when it is received by us. It will also help you to know that the item was not lost in the mail; which does actually happen, from time to time. Some of our items will be tagged with a color coded zip tie. This tie must still be attached to the item to be eligable for return. Please make sure that the item fits, and you are completely happy with it, before carefully cutting off the zip tie. Items received without a zip tie, or after the alloted time of return, will be marked as return to sender, and no refund provided. If you had any idea of just how much time, money and effort it takes into finding a single dress shirt, inspecting it, taking pictures of it, taking all the measurements and important information on it, listing it, housing it, answering questions about it, then shipping it (not to mention the risk of the item not fitting, and doing a return on it) you would see that there is really a great deal of effort and investment into making a business run like this smoothly. And it is for that effort that I make my living.
And finally, I think it bears noting that I am a devoted Christian. For some, this will mean little or nothing. For others, knowing that I personally answer to a higher authority to either eBay or PayPal gives them comfort. When I am wrong, or make an error, I am more than willing to own up to it.
