Caring for your batteries: The battery comes with about an 80% charge. Charge the first time for about 2hours. After the initial charge, if the batteries are completely discharged, recharge them as soon as possible for about 10 hours with a 500ma AC charger. If you forget to disconnect the charger for an extra day or two it will not harm the battery. Small trickle chargers will take a long time to overcharge a batteries, but it is not recommended to leave the charger on constantly. If they are to be stored for a long period of time, it is best to recharge them every two months for a few hours. Rotating the batteries with a fully charged one on a regular basis before they are completely discharged will extend the number of recharge cycles. The useful life of a batteries varies depending on the application. As an average, they can be fully discharged and recharged about 500 times. Regular recharging of a partially discharging battery will increase the number of cycles into the 1000s.
