LEATHER STOCKING LIVES AGAIN!
Cooperstown New York was named after its most famous native son and one of American's most famous writers, James Fenimore Cooper. It's also home to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
These historic financial documents both come from the First National Bank of Cooperstown and both display a vignette of Leather Stocking, Cooper's most famous character.
One is a bank draft (similar to a bank check today) hand signed by the bank's cashier. It was payable at Chase National Bank (now JP Morgan!). It's printed on blue paper and dated in the 1920's. The other is a very rare CD (Certificate of Deposit) showing how much an account holder has deposited. It is also signed by the Cashier or another top bank official, and dated circa 1910's or 1920. This CD sells on Ebay for up to $25.
If you would like TWO different rare banking collectibles in excellent crisp condition from Cooperstown at an unbelievable $1.99 each, DON'T WAIT. This is a LIMITED TIME PROMOTIONAL OFFER to see if anyone is still buying on Ebay.
Please email if interested in wholesale deals on these or other checks, drafts and CD's that we have in quantity.
